Expecting: A Pregnancy Process Group

The term 'expecting’ implies an emotional orientation towards your pregnancy -- one of elation and  promise -- that may or may not capture the way you actually feel.

Do you have a place to share your experience week to week -- the particularities of your pregnancy and  what you’re going through? Where you can be frank, open, and honest about all your feelings,  whatever they may be?

This group will provide an opportunity to acknowledge and share the absolute honest truth of your experience while also responding to what it is like to hear about the experiences of the other members.  Our facilitation will aim to help you sense even more deeply all of what is coursing through you and to make more vibrant your sense of yourself and others through engagement with participants in the group.

Wednesday evenings 6:30pm - 8:00pm

Flatiron District $50/session

Group facilitators Adelaide Mestre and Anastasia Gochnour share backgrounds in both Gestalt and  Developmental Somatic Psychotherapy. Longtime colleagues and friends, they have hosted, facilitated, and participated in a variety of process groups in both the US and abroad. Adelaide’s approach is strengthened by her involvement in the creative arts and she is also a new mother. Anastasia maintains a private psychotherapy practice with a commitment to developing a community among people with shared interests and intentions.
