Let’s Talk About It: Erotic Appetite

Workshop facilitated by Anastasia, for Atha Yoga School

How are you tending to your erotic appetite?  Most of us have never been encouraged to explore or even think about our erotic appetite let alone how we might cultivate it in a loving, healthy way. In fact, many of us have been shamed into perceiving this appetite as a negative thing, something to be suppressed, ignored, or deflected.

Spruce invites us to reframe our understanding of this important energy in our life through a series of carefully crafted questions. With gentle curiosity, rather than critique or judgment, we explore our experience of the erotic in our past and present personal worlds.  You will be invited to remember some of your earliest desires as a child.  We will explore our memories of all types of sensory pleasure and reflect on how we learned to meet or creatively adjust our needs.

Together we will identify the ways that these early experiences may continue to influence our current relationship with our erotic practices and energy.  This conversation will begin to untangle our individual stories with an emphasis on the cultural contexts that have also shaped our beliefs.

Thank you so much for this wonderful evening. I am so grateful. It definitely is having a rippling effect, which I hope to ripple with, in all directions and depths. I felt very honoured and harboured to be in a group of amazing women, with such openness, curiosity, and personal insight. I feel so very lucky and excited!
